For the majority people all over the world, the United States is the "modern promised land”, country where any dream is realizable; they may be right. In fact, America is the country of "first"; first white country to elect a black president; first country in the world to develop nuclear weapons, etc. However, the health insurance system is not that good; more than 45 million Americans do not have health insurance, approximately 16% of the total population. According to the Census Bureau, there were about 13.2 million uninsured young adults in the US in 2007. Besides about 200 000 people who die each year in hospital because of medical negligence and medical malpractice, there are thousands of people who die each year from lack of medical care. Although the uninsured individuals can go to hospital or a health care center, most of them always refuse to do so because they will then be billed directly, which could cost them a lifetime of debt. It is really depressive to receive and pay medical bills every month.
